Interviews are where great preparation either pays off or falls apart — and most learners simply don't get enough live reps before the real thing. That's why we've made GoCode AI-integrated, starting with the AI Interview Coach: a live, voice-driven mock interviewer built right into the platform. It reads each candidate's résumé, holds a real spoken conversation that adapts in real time, and returns an objective scorecard the moment they finish — no recruiter to book and no panel to coordinate.
What the AI Interview Coach actually does
It runs a complete mock interview end-to-end, in one sitting, entirely inside GoCode. The AI handles intake, the conversation and the assessment — so a learner can practise as many times as they like, whenever they want, and walk away with specific, actionable feedback every time.
How it works — three steps, zero scheduling
1. Set up & upload a résumé
The candidate picks a role track — Frontend, DSA, Backend, System Design and more — and a difficulty level, then uploads a résumé as PDF or DOCX (or pastes it in) and chooses an interviewer voice. The résumé is parsed in the browser and fed to the AI as context, so questions reference the candidate's real projects instead of generic templates. US-English and Indian-English interviewer voices keep the tone natural and familiar.
2. Live voice interview
The AI speaks each question aloud and listens back. Voice-activity detection knows when the candidate has actually finished talking and auto-submits on a natural pause — no buttons to press mid-answer. Strong answers earn harder follow-ups, drawn from what the candidate just said, and the interview wraps in 10–20 adaptive questions once the AI has enough to assess. If a microphone is blocked or muted, a clear prompt lets the candidate type instead.
3. Instant AI scorecard
The moment the interview ends, the AI grades the whole transcript against a fixed rubric and returns one overall score plus four skill dimensions — structure, relevance, clarity and depth. It also lists concrete strengths and specific improvements based on what the candidate actually said, then saves everything to interview history so learners and admins can track progress over time.
Built for institutions, controlled by admins
The AI Interview Coach isn't a black box bolted on — it's wired into GoCode's roles, billing and reporting, so every organisation stays in control of cost, access and data:
- Multi-provider AI — one abstraction over multiple engines, so each organisation can balance speed, cost and quality, with safe fallback if a provider hiccups.
- Admin on/off & scoping — org admins toggle AI for their org and scope access to specific groups or courses, so you can pilot with one cohort before going wide.
- Plan-based entitlement — super-admins entitle AI per plan and allocate provider and model per organisation, gated behind subscription tiers with no code changes.
- Usage & cost analytics — every AI turn is logged, so spend and adoption stay transparent and billing stays predictable as you scale.
- Interview history & reports — learners revisit past attempts while admins review scorecards across cohorts to spot trends and coaching needs.
- Private by design — résumés are parsed in-browser and capped before they ever reach a model: minimal data, maximum control.
Why it matters for colleges and companies
For colleges and universities, it means every student can get unlimited, realistic interview practice — and placement teams get objective, comparable scorecards instead of subjective gut calls. For edtech and software companies, it's a ready-made, white-label interview-practice layer that sits alongside the IDE, problem judge, assessments and analytics already in GoCode. And because it's part of the same multi-tenant platform, there's nothing new to integrate.

Ask on WhatsAppFrequently asked questions
What is the GoCode AI Interview Coach?
It's a live, voice-driven AI mock interviewer built into GoCode. Candidates pick a role track, upload a résumé and take a real spoken interview that adapts in real time, then receive an instant scorecard with an overall score, four skill dimensions and specific strengths and improvements.
How does it personalise the interview?
The candidate's résumé is parsed in the browser and given to the AI as context, so questions reference their real projects and experience rather than generic templates. The track and difficulty level further tune the questions.
Is the interview really spoken aloud?
Yes. The AI speaks each question and listens to the answer, using voice-activity detection to tell when the candidate has finished and to auto-submit on a natural pause. If the mic is blocked, the candidate can type answers instead.
Can administrators control who can use it?
Yes. Org admins can toggle the AI Interview Coach on or off and scope it to specific groups or courses, and super-admins can entitle it per plan and allocate the AI provider and model per organisation. Every AI turn is logged for usage and cost analytics.
Is candidate résumé data kept private?
Résumés are parsed in-browser and capped before any content reaches a model, keeping the data sent to the AI minimal. Interview history and scorecards are stored within your organisation for learners and admins.
