DevOps is one of the best-paid entry points into IT, and students in Namakkal and Salem no longer have to move to Chennai, Bengaluru or Coimbatore to learn it properly. Our classroom centre is in Rasipuram, between Namakkal and Salem, and the same DevOps Bootcamp runs live online for anyone further away.
This guide is for college students and freshers comparing DevOps courses locally. It covers what the syllabus should include, the realistic cost, and how to tell a hands-on course from a slide show.
What a 2026 DevOps syllabus must cover
DevOps is a chain of tools, and each one depends on the one before it. A course that skips the foundations will leave you stuck the moment something breaks. Check that the syllabus includes all of these:
- Linux and shell scripting — the base everything else runs on.
- Git and GitHub — branching, pull requests and code review.
- Networking and Python — DNS, HTTP, ports and load balancing, plus scripting for automation.
- Docker — images, Dockerfiles, volumes and Docker Compose.
- CI/CD — Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines with code-quality and security scans.
- Kubernetes — deployments, services, ingress, Helm and GitOps with Argo CD.
- AWS — IAM, EC2, VPC, S3 and load balancers.
- Terraform and Ansible — infrastructure as code and configuration management.
- Monitoring and security — Prometheus, Grafana, logging and secrets management.
Our 16-week, 11-module syllabus follows exactly this order. You can see every topic week by week on the DevOps course page.
You don't need to buy any software
A common worry from students is the cost of tools and cloud accounts. In practice, almost the whole DevOps stack is open source, and the rest has free tiers. Linux, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible, Prometheus and Grafana are free. Terraform and GitHub Actions are free to use. AWS, Azure and Google Cloud offer free tiers or student credits that are enough for every lab in a beginner course. A laptop with 8 GB RAM (16 GB is better) is all you need.
The one habit we drill from the first cloud class: set a billing alert, and destroy what you create after each lab. That keeps your cost at zero — and interviewers like hearing it.
What a DevOps course costs
Our DevOps Bootcamp is 16 weeks and 65 live sessions in Tamil and English, currently ₹40,000 with EMI options. When you compare institutes, compare the number of live hours and projects, not just the fee. A cheaper course that is mostly recorded videos usually costs you more in the end, because you still won't be able to clear a practical interview.
Five questions to ask any DevOps institute
- Will I build and deploy my own pipeline? Not watch one — build one, from Git commit to a running Kubernetes deployment.
- Is Kubernetes given at least three weeks? It's the most valuable and the hardest skill in the list.
- Do I get real cloud practice? Ask how they handle cloud accounts and costs for students.
- Are classes live, and can I ask doubts in Tamil? DevOps errors are confusing; being able to ask in your own language saves weeks.
- What happens after the course? Ask about mock interviews, resume and GitHub reviews, and placement support.

Everyone else joins the same live online classes, with the same mentors, labs and certificate. Not sure which suits you? Read offline vs online coding courses.
