Great engineers don't always come from the obvious places — so we go and find them. This year, GeekBase took its hiring on the road with on-campus placement drives at three engineering colleges — Kuppam Engineering College, Muthayammal Engineering College and Kongunadu College of Engineering & Technology. We met some genuinely sharp final-year students, ran our full selection process on campus, and hired candidates to join the GeekBase team. Here's how our campus drives work.

On-campus placement drives conducted at

Kuppam Engineering College
Muthayammal Engineering College, Rasipuram
Kongunadu College of Engineering & Technology

The colleges we recruited from

  • Kuppam Engineering College — Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Muthayammal Engineering College — Rasipuram, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu.
  • Kongunadu College of Engineering & Technology — Tamil Nadu.

Three campuses, one aim: meet strong fresh talent where they are, and bring the best of them onto the GeekBase team.

How our campus placement drive works

Every drive runs as a proper, structured selection process — the same bar we hold for any GeekBase hire:

  • Aptitude & online test: a timed screen of quantitative, logical and verbal ability.
  • Coding round: real problem-solving in C, C++, Java or Python, run on GoCode, our own coding and assessment platform.
  • Group discussion: to see how candidates think, listen and communicate under a little pressure.
  • Technical interview: a deeper look at fundamentals, projects and how a candidate approaches problems.
  • HR interview: attitude, communication and fit — because we hire for the long run.

What we look for

Skills matter, but attitude decides. We look for candidates who are curious, take ownership, communicate clearly and want to keep learning. A project you can actually talk through counts for more than a padded resume — show us how you think and what you've built, and you have our attention.

From campus to the team

The students we selected are joining GeekBase in developer and trainee roles — working on GoCode, client software and our training academy, with real ownership from day one and, for some, a path that starts with a hands-on internship. That's exactly why we recruit on campus: to find good people early and grow with them.
